Thanks so much for the wonderful care you gave to our beloved Mr. Noodles. He could not have had a more wonderful group of caring people watching over him as he healed. You all did an excellent job of keeping us posted on his progress and were gracious with your time whenever we called. We, as his human friends, have learned from this experience how we must improve our animal interaction oversight to make sure that nothing like this happens again. Thanks again for all you did to keep our 28 year relationship on track - our home felt so empty without Mr. Noodles watching over our living room! We are so grateful to have him back safe. He is doing great, yesterday he was dipping fresh green beans into a dab of melting vanilla ice cream (a special treat he loves). So thanks again for getting him back to us!!! And thanks to the person who went the extra mile and sent him home in the clean cage."

Photography sessions! In December 2008 and November 2009, we offered professional style photography sessions with 'Mrs. Santa Claus', for birds only. A fabulous time was had by all and the pictures were very popular.

If you are interested in getting amazing pictures of your birds, please let us know. We have a fun photographer on staff that is experienced working with people and pets, especially birds! Rates are very affordable (starting at $20.00).

Home for the Holidays!

We have MANY adoptable birds looking for a home for the holidays! From finches to a Blue Fronted Amazon, and many cockatiels and green cheek conures in between, if you have been looking for a new feathered family member, you NEEd to give us a call! You can meet all the birds available at our Birdie Spa Day event on December 12th, or you can call sooner to set up an individual visit (less competition!)

The Avian Medical Center was established in 1986, and we are still the only veterinary clinic exclusively for birds in Oregon.

Located in picturesque Lake Oswego, we're just a short drive from downtown Portland.

Our staff are experienced, well trained and have birds of their own.

The Avian Medical Center sees thousands of birds a year. From parrots to chickens and anything else with feathers, we have the experience to meet the unique needs of your bird. Bird Toys and Food!

We offer a fun selection of bird toys and high quality bird food. Many of the toys are made by our experienced staff members and they know what birds like! Prices are really great! We also offer Harrison's Pelleted Diets, and Volkman Seed. Stop by and visit us! Occasionally, we also have STELLAR deals on gently used cages and bird carriers. So, if you are looking, come in or call us!

We also have several birds looking for homes! Tell your friends, we have lots of birds looking for them! See our adoption page for a more detailed listing of what birdies are looking for a great home like yours.
