"Dear Avian Medical Center Staff,
Thanks so much for the wonderful care you gave to our beloved Mr. Noodles. He could not have had a more wonderful group of caring people watching over him as he healed. You all did an excellent job of keeping us posted on his progress and were gracious with your time whenever we called. We, as his human friends, have learned from this experience how we must improve our animal interaction oversight to make sure that nothing like this happens again. Thanks again for all you did to keep our 28 year relationship on track - our home felt so empty without Mr. Noodles watching over our living room! We are so grateful to have him back safe. He is doing great, yesterday he was dipping fresh green beans into a dab of melting vanilla ice cream (a special treat he loves). So thanks again for getting him back to us!!! And thanks to the person who went the extra mile and sent him home in a clean cage."
Sincerely, Susan and Randy
"I have dealt with Avian Medical Center many times over the past several years. They have cared for my Green Wing Macaw and my Sun Conure. The doctor has always been unhurried and very professional - the staff is amazing, caring, friendly, and accommodating. I have taken MANY training classes from the teaching staff and I have benefited a lot from it. It is really great to have my birds cared for by people who focus on birds exclusively. I highly recommend them! I have also purchased by bird foods from them exclusively for the past few years - I know I am getting fresh, quality stock chosen by avian professionals."

"I had to take Toni, my Blue Front Amazon to the avian vet. I have tried and tried to find a vet in central Oregon that I can trust with my kids when they are really sick, but when an emergency hits, I know with out a doubt that Dr. Litner can handle it. She saved Liza Cockatoo's life when the local vet said to put her down and she saved Toni's life a couple years ago when her liver started to fail. So, only one place to go when Toni needed help.
Toni had been to the local vet about two weeks ago and I had not been pleased with the experience. It was just for a nail trimming, nothing wrong. The vet had taken Toni in the back room, closed the door, did what he did and then returned her. I've been to a lot of avian vets and that's the first time one has insisted on doing their work in private. Toni came back traumatized and that was it for me, back to Dr. Litner in PDX, 8 hour of driving or not."

"If you do have a health issue, we are lucky to have one of the leading experts in the country on chickens specifically in backyard flocks - Marli Lintner, DVM and her dedicated staff at the Avian Medical Center. One of her vet technicians, Lisa Ewing, leads really great workshops on health issues and chicken care!"

"I called them for advice for my pets. I am not a client. They were AMAZING kind and gave me all the time I needed!!! The lady on the phone was very calm even though the news was not the best outcome. If I can't get in to see my regular vet these folks will get my business hands down. May even jump ship and become a regular client. 2 Thumbs up from me!"
